People need to carve time out of their busy day to dedicate to silent prayer or meditation in order to hear what God has to say, said Pope Benedict XVI.

ONITSHA: ARCHBISHOP OKEKE RECEIVES ARCHBISHOP ZOLLITSCH

A large delegation of priests and authorities of The Miserere, an international humanitarian body led by Archbishop Robert Zollitsch, the president of the bishops conference of Germany, was recently hosted by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev Valerian Okeke.
While receiving them in a special banquet organized in their honour, Archbishop Okeke eulogized and immensely appreciated the contributions of the organization to humanity.

His Eminence Francis Cardinal Arinze, on Saturday, September 5, presented his 2009 annual lecture at Shanahan Hall, the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, entitled, “The Lay Faithful In The Church And In The Society.”
